All is well

6/24/2015

Matt and I are going to write more about Wednesday Night Cookout tonight - but I wanted to quickly let everyone know we weathered the storm quite well last night.

Several groups got back to their cabins in time and played Apples to Apples or Uno.  Some Pioneer Groups were together in the Pioneer Pavillion and many groups played games in the Dining Hall.  A new camp favorite is Angry Birds.  You build structures with Jenga blocks and then take turns flicking crumpled up paper at the towers trying to knock them down.

The rain came down pretty hard for about 45 minutes.  There was a spectacular light show and a few loud booms.  Some of our campers were a little nervous but EVERYONE was totally safe and secure.  It did rain some more after bed time but the temperature drop made for pleasant sleeping weather and a beautiful Wednesday.

Thanks for the update! I know my camper isn't a huge fan of thunderstorms, but I'm confident she was fine surrounded by new friends and awesome counselors!

Mrs. Chappell,
Thanks so much for following along with Session One. Camp actually doesn't post photos of minors while they in our care. We believe it keeps campers safe by not disclosing their location to the general public. I am so sorry for this inconvenience.

I enjoyed your blogs so much and looking forward to the next one. I have a grandson in H2 and so excited for him to be at camp!
