Let's Visit Pioneer

This is where Pioneer & Pathfinder campers live while at Arrowhead. We have 7 Pioneer sites, named P1 - P7. And we have 2 Pathfinder sites named after our 2 most regular kinds of pathfinders - Adventure (APF) & Sailing (SPF).  However, in an effort to accommodate more campers, there are sessions of camp when we call one of the Pathfinder sites P8 to add another Pioneer Unit. It's less confusing than it sounds here.

Pioneer campers are a little more independent and responsible - living in separate shelters and cooking out a meal every day.

Each site has four shelters. Three shelters sleep up to four campers and the fourth houses
two counseling staff sleep. Everything is still within earshot.

There are 2 beds on each side.  The blue tarps hang at each end of the shelter offering privacy and helping to keep things dry when it rains.  They easily roll up or tuck to the sides to give more light and airflow.

The Pioneer CATS
We call Camp Arrowhead Toilets & Showers The CATS.  Usually bathrooms are boring - but these are VERY EXCITING because they are new.  They are so NEW - the stall doors and walls are still in transit to camp.  These are located centrally to all of Pioneer.
